REGIONAL PARK MOUNTS LATTARI

The regional park of the Mounts Lattari embraces the Sorrento and Amalfi coast with its taller peaks of Sant'Angelo a Tre Pizzi and Mount Faito and includes Capri, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The vegetation is characterized by the presence of the beech tree on the Mount Faito, the dwarf palm and the species of the mediterranean stain and the mixed wood.In some places the gariga, the grove of ilex and pine trees are met and as the zone is rich in brooks and valleys, we find species tied to damp environments as the ferns. As fauna we find the buzzard, the kestrel, the pilgrim, the real gull, the imperial crow, the solitary sparrow. Among the mammals the fox, the weasel, the marten, the hedgehog and the otter.


HOW TO ARRIVE

For who travels by car, crossing the highway A2 Roma - Naples from north or the A16 Bari - Naples for south, take the A3. Exit to Castellammare of Stabia and arrive on the SS Sorrentina 145 that - coasting along the sea - allows to carrive to the Sorrento coast and continuing, on the Amalfi coast.
For who travels by public means of transport, there are various possibilities. If you arrive to Naples by the train, the Central Station of Piazza Garibaldi is united by underground corridors to the lines of the Circumvesuviana that connect, directly, Naples and Sorrento.
Who arrives to Naples by plane has the possibility to use the daily connections of bus. The Sorrento and Amalfi coasts can also be reached easily by sea, thanks to the hydroplanes that connect the Molo Beverello (in Naples, in front of the Maschio Angioino) with the port of Marina Piccola in Sorrento or with the subway of the sea.
