OASIS WOOD CROCE

This area is situated near the Mount Falerio, includes a part of mediterranean wood and a part is formed by the typical terraces of the Amalfi coast, cultivated to vines and fruit trees. Presence of sources, splendid view on the Gulf of Salerno. The Amalfi Coast belongs to the Patrimony of the UNESCO and also the oasis of the Wood Croce is included in the bound area.Presence of typical species of the Mediterranean area: ilex, corbezzolo, broom, myrtle, fillirea, laurel, arboreal heather, rosemary and thyme. Near the source of il Cesare locks of capelvenere decorate the damp rocks. In the most hidden angles there is the carnivorous plant Pinguicola hirtiflora. The dominator of the skies is the wandering hawk that, on the rocky walls of the Mount Falerio, finds its ideal habitat. You can observe besides imperial crows, buzzards, kestrels, sparrow hawks, owls, owls and the typical birds of the stain among which the sardinian warbler. Among the mammals we find the fox, the wild boar, the badger and the marten. Among the reptiles we remember the biacco, the cervone and the grass-snake, while among the amphibians the salamander.


HOW TO ARRIVE

It's situated in locality Albori,fraction of Vietri sul Mare(SA). By the highway Naples-Salerno you reach the exit Vietri sul Mare, follow the indications for Raito and Albori. Arrived to Albori, in the little place out of the inhabited center, continue afoot for the source of "il Cesare."
