OASIS WOOD CAMERINE

The zones on the west are formed by stonyand clayey lands covered by xerogramineti and grasslands. The southern and central part are rich of mediterranean stain with clearings and pratelli. We find also the broad-leaved brushwood . The grove of ilex trees is a mixed wood to prevalence of oak. Mediterranean stain is composed by suffrutici, bushes and saplings including corbezzolo, fillirea, myrtle, mastic. In the grounds less drained there are the olive trees. The ilex is accompanied by the cyclamen and by veccie. In the tallest part we find the turkey oak and the privet. There are many orchids. The fauna is that characteristic of the mediterranean stain. We find the badger, the fox, the weasel and the marten In the puddles of water we find the frogs, the southern newt and the snake from the collar. There are many butterflies and the buzzard. The oasis is territory of hunting for the bee-eater.

HOW TO ARRIVE

It is situated in the province of Salerno in Albanella. Adjoining Area P.N.C.V.D. Exit Highway A/3 Battipaglia, crossing the S.S. 18 up to Bridge Barizzo and taking to the left there the S.P. n. 11 towards Albanella.
