NATURAL REGIONAL RESERVE ESTUARY VOLTURNO AND LICOLA COAST

It extends for around 1550 hectares and includes Patria Lake , the Estuary of Volturno and the sandy shore, with the stain and thepine trees which extends on the north and on the south of the estuary. It's one of the zones richest in aquatic avifauna of the coast of Tirreno: hundreds of kind of birds as svassi, gull, sterne, sea crows spend the winter and transit in the ponds of the estuary . Recently discoverede, the nest-building of the rider of Italy and the heron has been sighted . The hawk of swamp regularly spends the winter here.

HOW TO ARRIVE

By car

Cross the Tangential in direction of Pozzuoli
Overcome the tollgate of Pozzuoli and continue in direction Rome-Mondragone
Exit to the release of Patria Lake

By bus

From Naples, terminal of Piazzale Tecchio, take the bus CTP P19N

By train

From the Central Station FS of Naples, take the Subway and goes down to the station of Montesanto.
From there take the Circumflegrea and go down to Licola.
